20 shopping days???

No way, I was grocery shopping in Walmart tonight and saw a sign that said, 20 shopping days till Christmas. I am still recovering from momentary freak out. If anyone has any information on how to make time slow down I would greatly appreciate it!
We survived our trip out west for Thanksgiving and had a blast. There were 57 people for Thanksgiving dinner, late nights talking with aunts, lots of games, roller skating and of course our Strasser Turkey Bowl.

The girls travelled well and adjusted well to the time change. We love our portable dvd player!

Highlights of the trip included Julia puking on me in the Chicago airport after choking on a pizza crust, Lizzie giving me a very loud explanation of how boys and girls go to the potty differently in the airport restroom while making other comments which I will not write here, catching a pass and making a touchdown in the turkey bowl, seeing family I only see every two years and the lovely snow storm we got to play in the last few days we were there.

All my thanksgiving pictures are on our flickr site.

We got back late Tuesday evening and on Friday were headed down to Atlanta for a wedding on Saturday with Andy's family. It was fun to see Andy's parents and his sister and from what I saw of the wedding it was really beautiful. I spent most the time in a nursery room playing with the girls. At the end of the wedding I brought them out into a foyer area outside the chapel so they could see the bride and groom walk by and then I had them sit on a couch while the wedding party came down the aisle. Julia was standing on the love seat and the guests started to come out and I was looking for Andy when all of a sudden there was this loud alarm and strobe light blinking. My precious 20 month old pulled a fire alarm which was right above the back of the couch. Needless to say that moment made top 5 most humiliating moments in my life. The snotty bridesmaids were laughing and pointing and smiling at me sypathetically, BLECK! It was the longest 5 minutes of my life. I was SO ready to go after that and thankfully JLG had a Tom Collins waiting for me when we made a stop in at the Goseys for dinner before returning home.

So now my tree isn't up and I don't have any gifts purchased but all in good time I guess. A close friend of mine received amazing news today and I find that my mind is only on that lately. God is so good!
