Happy about homework and easy homemade apron

Lizzie has her preschool coop at the church today and she is currently reenacting some of the activities that they do. Right now they are having prayer time and she's asking all the students what their prayer requests are, and now we've moved on to show and tell. She cracks me up with her imagination.
She gets so excited to come home and show me what her homework is. Last week she had to draw a picture of our backyard.

Andy went out with her and I followed with the camera:

I saw this apron idea online and thought I would share it. I've been wanting to get an apron but haven't found one I liked (haven't spent much time looking either). I was browsing online and saw this piece of elastic with these brackets on the end where you can hook your kitchen towel. So I made a version of this with suspender clasps and elastic- all from Hancock for about $3. Now I can keep it in my kitchen towel drawer and snap on a towel whenever I'm cleaning up or cooking something. I'm overly excited about this simple idea and wanted to share it with the world, or my 4 regular readers. LOL

I don't get it (I'm a little slow when it comes to creative things!). Is the apron just a towel that you clasp around your waist??

Pretty much. (not very exciting!)
What you see in the picture is a small strip of elastic sewn to some suspender clasps and then clipped on to one of our kitchen towels. I don't really have the room for an apron somewhere and get annoyed with the towel over the shoulder thing, so this works great especially for doing dishes. I get excited over the littlest things.
: )
