Going Public
Now that we once again got to see the little guy in an ultrasound we decided it was probably about time to go public with our news. We'll be welcoming our third little one in early October! It has been a tough beginning so its probably a good thing I wasn't blogging about it cause it would have been really negative because of the nausea. After todays scan at the high risk I actually felt excited for the first time since I took the test several weeks ago. I know that sounds really pitiful, but the nausea was a big distraction. We are turning that corner though and if this pollen would ever wash away I'd be good to go.
This was my first dilemma, taking an allergy medicine. I had decided against it but am now going on my 6th day and had asked the high risk ob what meds they approve. I figured, they are high risk maybe they are more conservative with what they recommend. And I'll feel comfortable taking it. Well, the guy er dr I mean, actually listed several allergy medicines including claritin d. So this evening, I thought I would go down to a pharmacy and get a childrens clariton d, that was middle ground. I went up to ask the pharmacist if he thought sudafed would be better and he said, "oh I can't recommend any medication". I told him it was already approved by my ob I just wanted an opinion (big mistake). So he proceeds to tell me, kindly, that he doesn't like to tell women who are pregnant to take meds. Not enough research has been done on the medicines and who wants their baby to be a guinea pig, no one. So at this point I'm thinking I should flee with my claritin d and trust my ob. But he's not done, he then says he considers himself PRO fetus and started talking about all thats developing (well i'm pro fetus too). And he has 10 grandchildren that he really loves and he wouldn't want anything to happen to them. He is really just offering nice advice although he carried on longer than necessary and darn it, he changed my mind.
So here I am, no meds, but an unaffected fetus. . . I guess. UGH!!
His suggestion, flushing with warm salt water and wait it out like the other 100,000 people in Chattanooga suffering from allergies (his words I swear).
I'm praying for rain instead.

I'm so excited! I can't wait.
When you talk about "the little guy" it makes me want a boy for you soooo bad, but if you end up with another sweet little girl like your other two you really can't lose.
I hope the nausea and allergies let up soon.
See ya at the park!

Yeah for baby #3! I hope that this ends up (since it hasn't started that way) being your best pregnancy yet! Hope that you get a little andy jr.!! Are the girls excited?
And by the way, he/she is a baby not a fetus! (Sorry, I had to get that off my chest)!
Congrats guys!

I rinse with salt water every day. Don't make it too salty. It's not that bad, better than allergies all the time!

I'm right there with you about the nausea. I had no problems with my first pregnancy, but this one is throwing me for a loop! I'm due November 12th, by the way! Anyway, I'm taking an extra B6 vitamin along with my others for the nausea, and a friend highly recommended the motion sickness bracelets. She was horribly sick with both her boys, and said she was really skeptical, but that the bracelets took away the nausea significantly. I'm definitely going to give them a try! I'll be praying for you and this precious third baby!!
