Augusta, the flu, new teeth and one grumpy mommy
I really don't even have to write a post after that title, it about sums up my last 6 days. We spent the weekend in Augusta visiting with Andy's mom and her mom. Thursday evening my back was a bit sore and I thought it was because I lugged Caroline's car seat around a few places but it was still sore on Friday and I didn't feel all that well. We left town about 2, here are some shots of the girls on the road. These are the only pictures I got because I spent most the weekend in bed at Andy's grandmother's house with chills and a fever. Not the best time of my life.
They did pretty well, it normally is a 4 hr drive but took 6.5 hrs with stops for the potty and nursing. Since I didn't feel well it seemed longer and more irritating.
We got home Sunday evening, that was probably my sickest day. I had a fever and cold sweats so I was either freezing or burning up. I finally called the Dr today but apparently I can't take the flu medicine that is super effective because of nursing so they called in a z-pack. Hopefully I'll be on the mend in no time.
I have been a really grumpy mommy this week. I'm tired, my body hurts, and I have a terrible headache most the time and its frustrating not to get any complete uninterrupted rest. Andy has gone in late a few days so I can rest which has been nice. I just wish he could nurse the baby, because then I could really crawl into bed and not be disturbed. Ah, the life of a mother- sometimes it can just be the pits. (hope that didn't just make me sound ungrateful because I love my children a ton!)
In more exciting news, Caroline cut her two bottom teeth this weekend (perfect timing you little stinker!).
I was laughing at myself at how excited I got about it. I'm glad I still find those things exciting in my third child.
For all of you moms out there with sick households and who are sick yourselves, hang in there and you can make it!!!!

Thanks for getting me sick! Just kiddin'! Actually I started to feel bad after I hung up talking to you. But I still wasn't sure if it was the flu - just tired and achy. But by yesterday evening I felt like jumping off of bridge, just so I wouldn't feel the pain anymore! Funny thing is, I called my OB last night and they said taking Tamiflu was fine and well worth it. So she called in a prescription for me and I'm taking that. So hopefully it doesn't affect my little boy! Hope you feel better soon - this thing is a killer! But I feel your pain!

What!?!? You got the good stuff. Dang!
I'm so sorry you got sick, it certainly does stink! I'm having big issues with my milk supply and am having to take fenugreek 3 times a day. I hope it goes completely away soon, cause I am over it!
