Bootcamp day 1 and I am still alive!

survived first day of bootcamp!
Yes, sadly I am actually flexing here. LOL Hopefully in 4 weeks my arms will be more ripped.

So at 4:40 am when my alarm went off I thought to myself, how in the world did I get myself into this?!?!? Before I knew it Amy and I were headed out the door at 5 am and on our way to bootcamp.
It was a jam packed hour of intense workout, I have already taken motrin!
We only warmed up like the first minute with jumping jacks and then it was straight into lunges and squats. Then we picked up our hand weights and did more lunges and squats! Then we put them down and did more lunges and squats!! Lol You get the picture, lots of lunges and squats. There were arms workouts and some punches thrown in there and then all of a sudden our trainer would point to a tree and say "ok run to that tree and back". There were few breaks unless you ran fast and got back before everyone and could get a drink, which we tried to do. He didn't count at all, he timed us so we would do lunges for like 30 seconds or a minute (I can't remember it felt like FOREVER) and then he'd say stop. This method enables people to go at their own pace, but of course I can see Amy out of the corner of my eye and she is probably slightly more competitive than me and I had to keep up with her reps. LOL
Just about the time I thought my legs would fall off we begin to do circuit training. This included jogging through some sort of ladder on the ground on your toes trying not to touch the edges and then side squats for like 10 yd, then you turn and do the other side, another 10 yd of lunges, zig zags through cones, and more hopping through some rings set in the grass. Oh did I mention the whole circuit started with triceps curls at your mat? We went through this twice and it was brutal, although some repeaters went through 3 and 4 times but we agreed that their squats weren't low enough! LOL (we as in Amy and I)
It was one thing right after another! At one point during crunches we were looking up at the dark sky and the stars and I almost laughed thinking- I can't believe I am doing crunches before the sun is up!! I am stinkin looking at the stars right now!!!
The whole session ended with holding a plank pose on our elbows for a minute, my body started shaking at 10 seconds it wasn't good. But I held out and finished it up. I could have seriously laid down and slept on my cold wet mat right there if everyone had left me alone. :)
That was basically the gist of it, did I explain enough so you get the idea of how I got my tail kicked?!
Tomorrow is going to hurt. I changed the baby's diaper on the floor and was groaning while getting up. LOL
I'll try to keep posting about how we're doing and what the workouts are like, but if I miss a few days its probably because I'm sleeping. :)

Great Job for day one, you will soon be loving it, I can't wait to see you at the end of the month, it is totally worth it

Unless someone was paying me serious money to do this -- oh who am I kidding??? Nothing short of a death threat could make me do this. More power to ya!
