Caroline turns one!
Yesterday our little (and I use the term loosely) Caroline turned one. I can't believe it, I can't believe we are out of the first year!
We made it, we survived a newborn, 4yr old and 2 yr old at the same time! We survived the transition into school, potty training and caring for a baby and numerous other stressful moments when we thought we were in over our heads.
Nann with her 6th grand daughter! Happy Birthday Nann, thanks for being there to witness all the girls' births (esp. since Andy doesn't like to watch the c-sections). Bleck 3 c-sections and that last one was a doozie. I think I get a free set of steak knives after 4, LOL! Just kidding!
Check out those cheeks! What an awesome answer to prayer her weight was! Not wanting to repeat our situation with Julia of having a failure to thrive child her whole first year, we prayed Caroline would be big and a good eater! Wow, when I guessed the night before having her that she would be 8lb 6oz little did I know I would be off by 1lb 9oz. 9lb 15oz shocked and thrilled us not to mention making us and all our friends laugh and celebrate God's goodness and sense of humor. She out weighed both our other girls by over two pounds at birth. She is now finishing up her first year at 24lbs, we love you our chunky monkey.
What a lovely addition to our family, you can't wait to be walking so you can keep up with your sisters!

This has been a wonderful first year with Caroline. She gets more and more feisty and I think will definitely grow up to be a little girl who can stand her ground, just what we need- another dynamic woman! We're already starting to work a little bit on being aggressive with her sisters and other kids as she tends to "defend" her territory (namely me) and her stuff. I'm glad to see her becoming more friendly with people outside of our family and comfortable around others.
What a sweet smile and fun giggly laugh! We love our sweet Caroline!

We so enjoyed looking at your pictorial celebration of Caroline's first year. She (and the rest of your sweet brood of girls) is so adorable! Wish we could be around you guys more.

Happy Birthday beautiful girl! You are just adorable, and I'm sure catching up to your sisters quickly!
Sisters are such a special relationship. I'm sure you and Lizzie and Julia will be wonderful friends some day.
