In the beginning of the school year Lizzie learned all about apples, baking them, counting them, different kinds, different colors- it was pretty much endless.
She also learned about Johnny Appleseed and his song.
At dinner time the girls now sing it, which makes me giggle since they are thanking God for "the appleseed". I know this may not sound as funny being read as it actually is, but I want to remember it in the future. It's really funny to us.
"Oh, the Lord's been good to me.
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me the things I need:
The sun, the rain and the appleseed; (lol)
Oh, the Lord's been good to me.

That's the prayer we sing with Jackson before dinner! It was (and still is) what we sang at my parents as kids.
